Bendiciones Líquidas
Bendiciones Líquidas is a revisitation of a performance first presented four years ago in collaboration with Meritxell de Soto. At that time, my artistic research revolved around the question of how to integrate nature into an increasingly digital era, a process grounded in working with living systems, particularly plants.
Our collaboration began in 2021, informed by the concept of water memory, drawing inspiration from Masaru Emoto and Tabita Rezaire. From these references emerged a series of questions that continue to shape the work:
What memories does the water we touch today hold? If water remembers, what stories is it repeating within us? Can we cleanse water of our emotions, or does it cleanse us? If the body is 70% water, how much of that memory truly belongs to us? Could water be understood as a sensitive archive, encoding information beyond language itself?

Revisiting “Bendiciones Líquidas” today is an act of re-listening to what the work once asked of me, and what it asks now. It also marks a renewed collaboration with Meritxell, from a place of trust, maturity, and shared evolution.
This piece does not attempt to represent or explain nature. Rather, it proposes a space of porosity, it invites a listening that is reciprocal and affective, one that allows something to pass through. A gesture of touching and being touched.
