"Cyclĭcus" is a biodesign sculpture created by Magdalena Hart (@magohart) and Camila Fernández (@estudiodelespacio) comissioned by CCD. Combining both estatic/inert and dynamic/live materials to create a piece in constant transition and dialogue.

The sculpture transforms itself acompanying the growth of the Salvia hispanica seeds. This metamorfosis occurs in relation to the lighting, humidity, oxygen and temperature of the ambient. The velocity of the change is unprecictable although change is a constant factor.

The conditions wait for the growth of the flower, where later the seed will grow again to close and open a new cycle.

"Cyclĭcus" es una escultura de biodiseño realizado por Magdalena Hart (@magohart) en colaboración con Camila Fernández (@estudiodelespacio) para el CCD. Combina materiales estáticos/ inertes y dinámicos/ vivos para crear una pieza en constante transición y diálogo.

La estructura muta acompañando el crecimiento de las semillas de la Salvia hispanica. Esta metamorfosis sucede en relación a la iluminación, humedad, oxígeno y temperatura del ambiente que se dispone. La velocidad del cambio es impredecible aunque el cambio sea constante.

Las condiciones esperan el crecimiento de la flor, donde luego surgira una vez más la semilla para cerrar y abrir un nuevo ciclo.
