My current artistic practice focuses on fire and glass blowing, a material that attracts me due to its water-like appearance and its origins in fire, sand, and air. Glass, moldable and fragile yet rigid, requires a precise balance between time and gravity. I like to feel that even fire needs to breathe and see how air allows spaces to open. This is something explore specifically within my collection “Rain and Rivers”, founded in 2023.
In 2019, I co-founded the artistic duo "Akyute" with Natalia Gima, developing interactive installations that use technology to challenge how we experience living ecosystems. We emerged froma collective vision, in which interaction is organic and very much alive, humanity is sentient and communication among species is fluid, challenging the way we experience living ecosystems.
Since 2023, I have been participating in "Manglar," a collective and transdisciplinary proposal in Barcelona with members from Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Catalunya, since completing a residency together within the WetLab at Hangar. Our goal is to generate critical epistemological and methodological tools that expand the understanding of ecology, extractivism, and colonial relations, impacting public awareness about sustainability and the relationship between humans and technology.
